Description: This published web map service represents most external site school perimeter fencing and some internal fencing associated with select public school facility locations within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Lake County School Board. These schools are being assessed for safety purposes by the Chief of Operations at the request of the Lake County School Board. All of these school sites are all owned by the District, but some select site facilities are operated under a charter agreement for their daily operation by a state regulated Charter Board. The purpose of these fencing and barricade wall and door locations are to allow administrators the ability to understand the extent and location of all perimeter and internal fencing and barricade walls associated with the protection of the students at the respective school site as of February 2018. The digitization of the location and extent of these fences was performed utilizing the latest 2017 EagleView aerial photography provided by the Lake County Property Appraiser’s office. It was captured at a scale of 1:600 with the assistance of Google Earth and Google StreetView. The sites assessed do not included district sponsored or non-sponsored private schools (such as religious-based, private charter or specialty) school sites operating within Lake County.
