Service Description: This interactive web map provides a mean by which the growth planning and administrative staff understand the relative location and extent of economically disadvantaged students through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) eligibility requirements for the public schools within Lake County as of March 12th, 2018. These eligibility requirements through the National School Lunch Program have always been utilized as a means of determining those students who were economically disadvantaged. This NSLP federally assisted meal program provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day. The established federal eligibility guidelines are based on the Federal income poverty guidelines and are stated by household size. The Income Eligibility Guidelines to be effective from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.
