This GIS layer information represents the currently determined 2-mile (conversion charter schools) along with the 1-mile (district schools) walking distance boundaries for each school. These zones are the resultant polygon boundary for each school that has removed all the pending or approved state or local hazardous walking zones within their respective walking distance of the school. The resultant boundary represents general education students that do not ultimately qualify for district transportation services for the Elementary (Primary) Schools 2018-2019 School Year. The primary purpose of this GIS layer is to assist the Transportation staff and parents with determining their eligibility for district transportation of general education (non-ESE) students. These resultant feature class is created through the GIS Dissolve (data management) geoprocessing tool. This GIS layer is intended for general public use as well as identifying qualified student assignments identified in the Vmax® Compass software. |
