This published web map service represents the Lake County political boundary dataset that was created from a combination of Lake County Property Appraiser tax parcels and the formal Lake County GIS 1:24,000 county boundary officially changed to include Lake Beauclaire as part of Lake County, per Title II of the 2005 Florida Code, Chapter 7, paragraph 7.35. (LPD) located within Lake County, Florida. This boundary was also utilized for the formal establishment of the jurisdictional boundary for the Lake County School District and all subsequent district-wide layers. The purpose of this map services is to act as backdrop information for reference purposes only for school staff and the general public to assist in locating site specific residential locations in reference to District layers. It is also utilized to assist School Clerks, Pupil Accounting Staff and Transportation Staff with the location and extent of the jurisdictional limits of the Lake County School Board.
