Service Description: This GIS layer information represents the current status for the State approved walking zones with the appropriate FDOE Transportation Membership Category assignments for the 2018-2019 School Year for Elementary (Primary & Secondary), Middle and High Schools. These categories represent either a “Category G” – Hazardous Walking – Elementary (Unweighted) or a “Category N” – Non-FEFP Fundable Pre-K through 12 students based on the documented process of elementary, middle and high school 2-mile walk boundaries and those submitted/approved hazardous walking condition areas. The attribute table provides a simple notation by school for the category assignment zones for “G” and “N”. The primary purpose of this GIS layer is to assist the Transportation and FTE Accounting staff with the assignments of general education (non-ESE) students for Transportation FTE Survey submittals to FDOE through assignments identified in the Vmax® Compass software. This GIS layer is not intended for general public use, but for internal use only for administrative purposes.
